Home / Life Empowerment / Reflections

The end of the year always brings reflections of the past and pondering about the future. As I look back over the past year, I rejoice in all that God has done in my life and the work He has given me to do. I have learned many lessons along the way. There are four reflections of 2015 I want to share with you for the remaining weeks of November:
a) Fear: The number one killer of dreams
b) Faith: The call to abundance
c) Purpose and destiny
d) Do not despise the day of small things: Gratefulness
Fear is a state of mind rooted in a belief system created by pain. When dreams arise, they are immediately squelched by fear and justified by the self-created belief system. I lived this way for most of my adult life. The dream God planted in my spirit before I was born was buried under the wounds of life I received. If it tried to rise, my erroneous beliefs would make sure it was buried again. I am a writer with many good things to share through the written word. Now I share freely. But there was a time when fear kept me undercover, hiding my stories where I thought they were safe because I believed that nothing I did was good enough for the world to see.
Though I was a Christian, saved by the grace of God and going to heaven, there was something I lacked that allowed the fear to take over my life.
I lacked the truth that would set me free.

    • I am so glad, Janae. I feel awful that I have neglected these comments for over a year! I appreciate your words. Right now I am busy writing books, but I won’t forget blogging. Take care and do come back. Love and blessings.
