Open Door

But when she saw him, she was greatly troubled and disturbed and confused at what he said and kept revolving in her mind what
such a greeting might mean. And the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found grace  (free, spontaneous, absolute favor and loving-kindness) with God. Luke 1
.
Mary’s troubled mind was caused by Gabriel’s greeting. This greeting was an open door to her destiny, paving her path with grace and love. It’s a supernatural visitation to bring her into the place God ordained for her to be. This territory was unexplored by any human being, created in the mind of God to be fulfilled in His time. She was in the arms of Heaven, in the Heart of Love, to bring God’s beloved Son into the world through the ordinary means of a human birth. Her only work was to yield her pure body to be a vessel in God’s hands. Her purpose is simple, yet profound. In the ordinariness of life, she was doing something extraordinary. Every woman on the earth has the same capacity that she did to create life. But God lifted her from the many to the one by choosing her body to be the place of incarnation, the place where heaven and earth meet for our salvation.
Though I am not called to give physical birth to the Son of God, I am called to be formed into His image and to fulfill God’s unique purpose for me. We may not have angel visitations to make plain our calling, but we do have the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s word to us. Within those messages we will find His purpose for our lives, and in finding it be compelled to obey.
“For those He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:29
